Editorial/Introduction

Abstract

Dear Readers,
I hope you are healthy and fine!
It was a wonderful experience for serving as a ‘Lead Guest Editor’ in
Distributed Generation and Alternative Energy Journal (DGAEJ). The Title
of the special issue was very interesting and it was “Recent Applications
of Power Electronics & Drives in Renewable Energy Systems.” We had
circulated Call for Papers (CPF) in all over the world though different
platforms. The short summary of the special issue is as follows:
Total Research/Review Papers Received: 57
Accepted Papers: 16
Rejected/Declined Papers: 41
Acceptance Percentage: 28.07
In this special issue, we had accepted 16 quality papers. It is refreshing to
see that the majority of papers relate to the very dynamic field of power
electronics and power systems especially Smart Grid. The Guest Editors feel
accepted papers will be very useful for future researchers and shall be in the
interest of the global audience. The research papers rigorously reviewed by
the field experts and we had not compromise in the quality of papers because
it is one of the reputed journal and it was in mind of the editorial board.
Majority of research papers have been rejected due to lack of experimental
results and or not proper justification in simulation results. The Review papers
had rejected because we observed that the proper literature review was not
done and outcome of the paper was missing. Thank you so much river publishers especially Dr. Rajeev Prasad, Editor
in Chief and Dr. Sanjeevikumar Padmanaban, Co-Editor in Chief of the
Journal for giving me opportunity to serve as the lead guest editor in this
reputed Scopus indexed/Taylor & Francis Journal. Indeed, the journey was
very interesting and fruitful.
