Abstract

Limited metering data, coupled with knowledge of concurrent
events, can be used to better understand a community’s energy use.
This insight can then be used as a starting point to develop energy
reduction strategies.

Author Biography

Edward T. Borer, PE, CEM, LEEDAP Princeton University, Facilities Engineering

Edward “Ted” Borer is the energy plant manager for Princeton University and is actively involved in campus energy and carbon emissions reduction efforts. He has over 25 years of experience in the power industry, is a registered professional engineer, and holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees in mechanical engineering, as well as CEM, CEP, and LEED-AP certifications. He has authored numerous articles on power and energy topics and is active in the International District Energy Association, ASHRAE, and ASME.
