MODELLING DYNAMIC HYSTERESIS IN FERROMAGNETIC SHEETS UNDER TIME-PERIODIC SUPPLY CONDITIONSAbstract
This paper presents an application of the Dynamic Preisach Model as proposed by Bertotti, to the analysis of electromagnetic phenomena inside a ferromagnetic lamination subject to imposed time-periodic magnetic flux. The field problem, considered as one dimensional, is formulated in terms of magnetic field and the Fixed Point technique is used for the treatment of the hysteretic nonlinearity. The solution is carried out in the harmonic domain by means of the Finite Element method. The original implementation of the Dynamic Preisach Model is detailed and comparisons with measurements are presented in the case of sinusoidal excitations.
