THE METHOD OF FICTITIOUS SOURCES APPLIED TO DIFFRACTION GRATINGS

Abstract

This paper deals with grating diffraction in electromagnetic theory, using the method of fictitious sources. We present a detailed description of the method, and we lay stress on its numerical implementation. Numerical examples are given for various grating profiles, and compared to those obtained with other methods.
