Abstract

Incident field is resolved into azimuthal modes, m-0, 1, and 2 modes are used. Multipole sources are located at nine equally spaced points along the axis of the dipole, and the code solves for 166 source coefficients by matching the boundary condition in the least-squares sense. This solution is a comromise between accuracy and running time. The RMS error in the tangential E-field is 0.024 volts, which is 32 dB below the incident field, and 49 dB below the peak E-field normal to the surface. The scattered field is believed to be accurate to plus or minus 0.003 dB.
