Abstract

This article describes the use of the Telemac-2D software in two distinct river applications. First for the propagation of a dam-break wave, with large bank overflow, towards a very deep estuary. The second application is for the propagation of a long extreme flood among a network of rivers controlled by dams, flood gates and earth embankments. In both applications, the model allowed internal breaks of structures and bank erosion.
