Abstract

n this paper separate type estimators of population mean have been suggested. The biases and mean squared errors of the suggested estimators are obtained up to the first degree of approximation. Asymptotic optimum estimator (AOE) is also obtained with its properties. Conditions under which the suggested estimators are more efficient than other considered estimators are obtained. An empirical study has been carried out to demonstrate the performance of the suggested estimators.
