Abstract

In this paper a method to calculate the gradients for the TEAM 22 problem is presented. Furthermore an objective function different from the one proposed in the benchmark is used where the energy requirement was handled as an equality constraint. The so derived gradients of the objective function and the constraints together with a standard optimization routine are used to solve the problem. In the last section some new results concerning the presence of local minima for the problem are given.
