Methodes de remaillage automatique appliquees a Ia modification de modele

The design process usually implies modifications of an initial design solution. At this point, design tools do not allow to perform these modifications efficiently enough. Particularly, when using FE methods, a new FE model has to be rebuilt in order to take into account any modification of the geometric model. We present in this paper an original approach allowing the automatic remeshing of 3D parts, which allows a better integration of FE methods in the whole CAD/CAM process. The optimization of the automatic remeshing is achieved through a mesh pre-optimization based on the discretization error. This introduces, in the FE analysis process, a mesh that represents a better approximation of the initial model.
