EdirorialAbstract
It is a great pleasure to introduce this special issue based on contribu- tions from the 19th Scandinavian International Conference on Fluid Power (SICFP’25). This special issue presents seven selected papers that were originally presented at SICFP’25, held in June 2025 at Link¨oping University, Sweden, and have been revised and extended by the authors to reflect their latest research results.
SICFP is a well-established international conference that provides a forum for the presentation and discussion of scientific and technological advances in fluid power and fluid-mechatronic systems. The conference is organized biannually and alternates between Link¨oping University and Tampere University, fostering long-term collaboration between academia and industry within the fluid power community. SICFP’25 was organized by the Division of Fluid and Mechatronic Systems at Link¨oping University and took place under the motto “Shaping the Future of Fluid Power.”
The conference covered a broad range of topics regarding fluid power, including component and system development, intelligent and data-driven methods, and issues related to noise and vibration. From the numerous high- quality contributions presented at the conference, the papers selected for this special issue was picked after the peer-review rating of the submissions and represent a subset of particularly relevant and promising work that aligns well with the scope of this journal.
