Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • I acknowledge that JMM is an Open Access journal and that I will be charged an article processing fee (APC) if my paper is accepted, which is payable before publication.
  • I am submitting this paper using my official, institutional email address and will correspond with the Publisher using this address. (note that personal, non-institutional email addresses such as gmail, outlook, 123.com, or similar will not be accepted)
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission follows the Journal template, found on our website under Author Guidelines.
  • The submission has not been generated by AI tools and is the original work of the authors listed. AI tools may be used to improve grammar, but not to generate "original" content.
  • The initial submission file is in PDF file format. Once your paper is accepted you will be asked for either a MS Word or LaTex file of your paper.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • Where author contact details are given in the paper an official, institutional email address is used, not a personal non-institutional address.
  • If there is a Section Policy displayed below the section to which the article is submitted, authors must adhere to the Section Policy.

Author Guidelines

Policy on email addresses.

The Journal has adopted the policy that all authors of papers must provide institutional email addresses in the author contact details part of their manuscript and use those addresses to communicate with us. That is, we require you to use the official email address associated with your position - supplied by your university, research institution or other employer. Non-institutional email addresses such as gmail, outlook and 123.com will not be accepted.

We have adopted this policy because non-institutional addresses are easy for fraudsters to use to pretend to be somebody that they are not, and therefore mandating the use of institutional email addresses helps us ensure the integrity and transparency of our publishing process.

If any of the authors are unable to use an institutional email address then please email us at JMM@riverpublishers.com with an explanation and suggested alternative proof of identity before you submit.
